Zimbra Desktop Java Issues

If the Zimbra desktop client is giving you a JAVA problem please try the following.....

The procedure is....

1.) Navigate to C:\Program Files\Java\ -or- C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\ (on a 64bit machine)

2.) You may find more then one folder there that starts with the letters "jre".
Open those "jre" folders until you find the one that contains a "bin" and "lib" folder along with multiple ".txt" files.
That is the "jre" folder you want to make a copy of.

3.) Navigate to C:\Program Files\Zimbra\Zimbra Desktop\win32 -or- C:\Program Files (x86)\Zimbra\Zimbra Desktop\win32 (on a 64bit machine)

4.) Rename the existing "jre'" folder to "jre.old".
Paste a copy of the new "jre" folder here.
Rename the copied folder "jre".

5.) Now try restarting the Zimbra desktop and it should work.
